How To Grip A Golf Club Correctly

For anyone who has ever attended a golf lesson, it is clear that among the first things to be achieved is to learn how to grip a golf club correctly. The ball and the club are the main objects of the entire game, so it goes without saying that any beginner should know how to grip the golf club correctly. For those whod like to find out more about golf before actually going to some sports centre to attend classes, here are a few tips to learn how to grip a golf club correctly.

First of all, keep in mind that the grip is the only way you connect and feel the golf club. A proper position of the hands on the club brings better control of the clubs face of impact. Therefore, when learning how to grip a golf club correctly, you have to swing your body so that you imprint power to the ball. If you really want to know how to grip a golf club correctly, then make sure that your hand and the club become one in the move. Always use your dominant hand for a stroke, since this is the way to hit with precision.

In order to learn how to grip a golf club correctly, place the last joint of your index finger right under the clubs shaft. Then, keep the club at a clear downward angle. When you place the lead hand on the angle, put the left thumb on the back part of the shaft. Try to imitate the moves of the trainer who shows you how to grip the golf club correctly. For very professional information you may turn to online resources like those provided by the following site: http://golfswingtrainer.blogspot.com/. They provide great tips and ideas that will assist you in the pleasant effort of learning to play golf.

Not many people who are taught how to grip the golf club correctly actually manage to give the right strokes from the beginning. The keyword here is practice; besides the regular classes you may take, find the time to give some strokes at home too and apply the way youve been shown how to grip the golf club correctly. This should be a fist step in the golf learning process as you will soon go on to trying to swing and give the best shots possible. Good luck!

Orlando Travel-Getting There and Getting Around

By far the most popular means of getting to Orlando is by air.

Orlando International airport is one of three airports serving the metroplex. It handles 31 million passengers a year and is one of the top airports in the country consistently voted one of the top 5 in the country for customer convenience. It is serviced by more than 37 carriers with more than 60 non stop arrivals (not to mention all the connecting flights) from US and international destinations daily. There are private charter carriers as well. Sanford Int'l airport is home to a small fleet of Int'l carriers.

Orlando is located in east central Florida on Interstate 4. A lot of vacationers from the southeast find it easy to drive to Orlando. The interstate highway system certainly makes it easier.

Amtrak runs a passenger trains to Orlando. There is even a car train that starts in Lorton VA for those who want their own car but don't want to drive to Orlando.

Unless you are staying at Walt Disney World (WDW) you will need a car. There are taxis, limos, buses, horse drawn carriages too. For the easiest way to get around, get a car. Just be aware that under the best of circumstances traffic is very congested just like any other city this size.

If you are staying at WDW everything that you might want to do is within walking distance and the transportation system of WDW is available. The WDW transportation system is by bus, monorail, water taxi, or ferry. You sacrifice some freedom for big savings on gas insurance, parking, and of course the rental fees. It runs to and from all Walt Disney properties well into the night. Remember though Walt Disney World is 47 sq. miles and is only part of Orlando. That's a lot of ground to cover.

A lot of the bigger hotels offer shuttle service to the theme parks and the airport-just be careful it may or may not be free so do your homework.

The decision on getting a car may be the most important decision of your stay in Orlando.

Even if you are staying in WDW you may still want to get a car. There are several things to take into consideration in making this decision. They would include:

---Time of year. The busier times of the year create longer lines waiting for ground transportation.

---Where you are staying. Proximity to where you want to spend your time is a factor.

---Length of stay. You can do almost anything for a day or two, but if your stay exceeds that shuttle hopping is not a fun sport.

---The convenience factor. Let's face it having a car is convenient and exudes freedom to do what you want when you want to do it.

---Size and makeup of your family. Think about the stroller etc and the little ones on and off the shuttle bus. Get the idea? Been there done that-NO THANKS!

Take the ideas and suggestion above to heart because transportation is a critical part of your vacation fun in Orlando. Making the wrong decision on getting a car could ruin your stay.

90+ Shooters - This Golf Article Is For You!

The advice I give in this article is aimed specifically at golfers that score over 90 for 18 holes of golf. But if you score under 90 for 18 holes you'll still find the advice I give you here valuable....so keep reading.

What you need to work on to score better is the following and this list is from the highest priority to the lowest

1. Putting

2. Chipping

3. Pitching

4. Bunker Shots

5. driving

6. irons

7. fairway woods

You should work on improving your putting first because if you normally have 38 putts per round and you improve by 5 putts per round you've just knocked 5 shots off your score. This same philosophy applies to chipping and pitching. The more you can improve those two aspects of your game the better you'll score. And finally, you must get really good at bunker shots.

Now when you're practicing putting you should mainly work on distance control. So practice longer putts first and then leave the shorter putts till last. But don't practice your putting for too long. Just get some good feel for distance and then go and practice your chipping and pitching.

And when practicing your chipping you should concentrate on landing the ball where you want and then assessing how far it's going to roll to the hole. Then select a club that will be the most efficient at getting the golf ball close. Then when you practice your pitching you should mix up the distances you practice from so that you get a good feel for distance control. But experiment. Make practice fun. Play some games. And this applies to bunker shots as well.

Play some bunker shots out of unusual lies. For example, play a shot that's plugged, play another shot where you have to stand out of the bunker but the ball is in the bunker. Just have some fun. Even try a "Seve" and get out your 3-iron and try to get the ball out of the bunker with that. This will force you to use your imagination.

If you just worked on these four areas of your game consistently then your score will drop. It has to. Because it's been scientifically proven that shots inside 100 yards make up about 70% of golf. So therefore it makes sense to work on that part of the game the most.

Unfortunately most golfers work on their game the reverse of what I'm saying, and I suppose that's why there is so many "DRIVING RANGES" around! So remember this 70% practice rule when you next go out to practice and if you spend all of your practice time hitting long shots and you're not improving, then don't say I didn't warn you!

Bypass your School and Work Filters with an Anonymous Proxy Server

With the proliferation of the internet, many websites promote themselves by sending you spam junk mails, advertisings and even embed spyware that is difficult to remove onto your computer. These things not only keep track of your personal information, but also enable hackers and crackers to infiltrate your system. Anonymous proxy servers act as a wall between your data and the internet, whereby providing security to your system and data. There are however, other reasons to use an anonymous proxy server.

If your work or school has any type of filtering in place to prevent people from visiting certain websites, an anonymous proxy server is a great way to get around such restrictions. Anonymous proxy servers work by acting as a "middle man"; they download the requested pages to their proxy server and in turn you download the page, all images and other such objects from the proxy server to your browser, thus bypassing any filters or annoying firewalls. not only is this a viable alternative for students to bypass their school's filter to access such popular student sites such as Myspace or Xanga but can be used if your workplace has strict limitations on which websites you can access. Most anonymous proxy bypass servers use one of two program, PHProxy or CGIProxy, both of which are excellent proxy software packages.

After you have discovered the benefits of using anonymous proxy servers, you will probably want to try it out. There are numerous free proxy services out there, one of the most popular is SpySurfing ( http://www.spysurfing.com/ ) and is a really fast proxy server that is popular among both students look to bypass their school filters and adults looking to bypass their work place firewalls.

Plumbing Tips

If you have ever gone camping for a weekend, you know it doesn't take long to miss running water, flushing toilets, clean clothes, and hot showers. These modern conveniences are the benefits of plumbing systems. Your house has several separate plumbing systems. Sinks, toilets, washers, bathtubs, and related fixtures. Types of pipes for different plumbing usage may vary, from:

1. Copper

2. Plastic

3. Lead

4. Concrete

5. Steel

6. Cast iron

Plumbing is something we use every day and which most of us know little about. Shopping for your own plumbing fixtures rather than getting them through your plumber allows you choose from a wider selection and save money.

Most people are familiar with plumbers, who come to their home to unclog a drain or install an appliance. When construction plumbers install piping in a house, for example, they work from blueprints or drawings that show the planned location of pipes, plumbing fixtures, and appliances.

Water enters your house through a pipe that connects either to a municipal water line or a private well. Faucets, like all plumbing fixtures with moving parts, are apt to require more repair than non-moving fixtures. The less strain you put on your faucets, the less frequently they need repair.

If your plumbing fixtures drain slowly, the problem may be a clogged vent. This happens when vents are improperly located and when birds or animals deposit debris in the vent where it exits the roof.

Whatever your intended plumbing projects, the first step is to familiarize yourself with the water system in your home. At the very least it is important to know where to switch off the mains in case of an emergency.

Effective Golf Drills To Help Eliminate Slice

Slice is usually caused by an outside-to-in swing path. This in turn is caused by a bad grip on the gold club or an unbalanced stance. To develop a balanced stance and strength here's a simple golf drill to eliminate slice. Get into a push-up position but hold your body straight with only your feet and hands in contact with the floor. Then lift up your left leg and right hand and balance in that position for ten to fifteen seconds. Repeat with the right foot and left hand. This golf drill to eliminate slice will help improve your strength and balance so you can fix your slicing problem.

Another golf drill you can practice is to practice drives with a tee in front of the club. Just tee up a ball but set the club face at the back of it. Stick the tee about an inch from the golf club's toe. Now practice hitting drives without clipping or touching the tee in front of the ball. If you are clipping the tee, then your swing is still in an out-to-in path thus causing slice. Keep at it until you can hit drive after drives without ever clipping the tee.

A good golf swing mechanism is one of the best techniques you should practice to fix slice. Here's a golf drill to help you develop a good swing and consequently help you eliminate slice. Keep your left arm attached to your chest, the clubhead out of your hands, and the club halfway back. Your left wrist should be cupped, your right knee flexed and your right arm above your left. Keep the butt of the club into your abdomen area and grip the shaft just below the handle. Keep the shaft off the ground and at approximately the same height as your knees. Then keep in mind that your arms, torso, legs and hips work as one unit. Keep practicing to achieve a strong and confident swing.

Another golf drill to eliminate slice is simply to practice putting anytime you have the opportunity. A few practice putts everyday will train your muscles, develop your stance and balance and help you develop a smooth and fluid motion that will keep your swing path from going outside-to-in. At home or at work, try practicing a putt during breaks. This can easily add up to help you achieve a better game play and eliminate slice.

These are just three of the many golf drills you can use to help fix slice. There are many more golf drills you can try which can effectively improve your fundamental skills and strengths so you can greatly improve your game play.
